And in Windows OS, the console application could also not be built as.exe file, it is.dll file too. But we could run it with command line (dotnet command) in windows. Please refer to the following step: 1). Open the command line for VS2015: 2). Type dotnet yourconsole.dll, please refer to the following screenshot: You could try above steps in Mac to see whether it is works.
